Apply Filter Templates
Apromore now provides the ability to save a filter template that we have defined on an event log, and to apply the saved template to another log. For example, we can create a filter template on an event log containing all the cases of the production process that completed in June, and then copy it to an event log containing all the cases of the same production process for the month of July.
To create a filter template, select a log and double-click on it.
Process Discoverer plugin window opens. Click on Filter.
Filter log window appears. Create the desired filter. For example, the below screenshot captures the Performance filter, retaining only those cases that last more than 30 minutes and no more than one month in duration. Click on OK.
The applied filter settings will be displayed on the right side under the Criteria section.
Note
Double click on a criterion to edit it. Right-click to see the full description of the criterion.
To save the filter template click on the Manage templates button - , select Save template.
Save filter template window opens, consisting of 2 parts - the field to name the template (Untitled template would be offered as a default option;) and the list of the existing templates, if any, right beneath the naming field.
Enter the name of the template and click OK.
The confirmation window pops up. Click OK.
The template is successfully saved. To apply it to another log, return to the Portal and select the log we would like to filter.
Click on Filter. Filter log window appears. Click on Cancel.
To upload the filter template, click on the Manage templates button - , select Load template.
Load filter template window opens with the list of saved templates to choose from. To Rename or Delete template, click on the corresponding buttons placed next to the template.
Select the needed template and click on Apply.
Note
To export a filter template, click on Download placed in the down left corner of the Load filter template window.
